Hair Analysis
Do you ever wonder what vitamins and mineral you should REALLY be taking?
Do you wonder how much of each of these supplements you need?
Do you wonder if the supplements you are taking are working?
The easiest, and most accurate way to determine the answers to the above questions is to have your doctor or nutritional consultant obtain a hair sample on which the lab will perform a mineral analysis, which will determine the mineral content of your hair.
Mineral content of the hair reflects the true mineral content of the body’s tissues. If a deficiency or excess occurs in the hair, it will generally indicate a deficiency or excess within the body, or will show that there are minerals that have not been assimilated by the body. These can be critical indicators of physical and mental ailments.
So why take a mineral analysis by tissue, rather than a blood analysis? I personally feel that hair tests are more accurate indicators of the OVERALL metabolic trend of the body. When you understand the function of the blood, you will understand this.
Blood is a transportation medium. The components of the blood must remain fairly stable AT ALL TIMES. Acidity, alkalinity, levels of certain nutrients, etc. all must remain within a fairly tight limit. This equilibrium, or balance, is incredibly important to your health. Your blood test may show you have adequate levels of calcium, but the blood is robbing this calcium from your bones or teeth.
An example would be if you ingested lead. Levels in the blood would stay high for about 30 days, then it would disappear. But did it disappear? Probably not. The lead has just been removed from the blood and is being stored in one of your organs like the liver or in the tissues. This shows up in a hair test and does not show up in a blood test.
Two more reasons that blood tests are inadequate are that the quantities of minerals in blood are too small for easy detection, and a blood test can be easily influenced by short-term events in your life.
Mineral imbalances frequently lead to metabolic dysfunctions and can begin to occur before any symptoms become manifest, yet are picked up by the hair test.
Some of the most common symptoms which will reveal that a tissue mineral analysis is necessary are:

Mineral Analysis is a valuable screening tool which allows the CORRECT program of diet and supplementation to be designed for each INDIVIDUAL. No two people may need the same thing, although they may exhibit similar symptoms.
Anyone who wants to maintain optimal health should have a mineral analysis done. This assures that one is taking the mineral supplements their individual body needs and in the right quantity. Mineral analysis opens up new avenues to help solve problems that other therapy seems ineffective in treating. Mineral Analysis (usually done every four to six months) will also show if the minerals you are taking are AVAILABLE to the body. Many experts think that if you take more minerals than you need your body simply eliminates the minerals which it does not need. Hair analysis shows that this is not the case, that the body will store the excess and it may become toxic.
Anyone who wants to maintain optimal health should have a mineral analysis done. This assures that one is taking the mineral supplement their individual body needs and in the right quantity. It also assure the minerals you are taking are bio-available, or that your body can actually use them. Mineral analysis opens up new avenues to help solve problems that other therapy seems ineffective in treating.
Additional signs that the body is going through chemical changes, even though the individual may not experience severe problems are:
- Brittle hair and nails or hair loss
- Ridges in the nails (Longitudinal)
- Deep grooves across the nails
- Stretch marks
- Lack of growth
- Mood swings
- Lack of energy
- Fear of flying
- Curvature of the spine
- Over sensitivity to the weather
- Continual cases of flu and severe and re-occurring fatigue
- Loss of balance
This is only a short sample of early indicators of imbalances that are going to become more serious if left untreated.
SOME EXAMPLES OF MINERAL IMBALANCES:
ZINC: Did you know that the prostate contains more zinc than any other organ in the body? Proper levels of zinc are imperative for male potency.
COPPER: Women’s PMS symptoms are often due to an excessive amount of copper in the system. Excessive copper can cause some cases of schizophrenia. Excessive copper can cause some cases of short term memory loss and mental confusion.
VITAMIN C: Taking an excess of Vitamin C, in certain metabolic types can make infections WORSE!
MAGNESIUM: Proper supplementation can prevent brain damage in alcoholics and can help some heart problems.
ENZYMES: Over 80% of our population does not have adequate enzymes to digest and assimilate their food properly.
ACNE: Can be caused by excessive lead, copper, or a zinc deficiency.
CANCER: Some cases of cancer may be caused by excessive amounts of arsenic, lead, cadmium and beryllium.
ZINC/CHROMIUM: Help regulate blood sugar fluctuations.
SOME COMMON CAUSES OF MINERAL IMBALANCES ARE:
- improper diet, (such as excessive intake of sugar and refined carbohydrates)
- Very strict vegetarian diets or exclusive diets.
- Taking mineral and vitamins that are not combatible to your INDIVIDUAL BODY CHEMISTRY.
- Prolonged or excessive use of medications.
- Use of birth control pills.
- Excessive stress
- Assimilation of toxic minerals from job, hobbies, or environment.
- Taking too much of any one vitamin or mineral.
- Women's pre-menstrual headaches are often caused by too much copper in their system?
- Arthritis pain can be caused by lead, cadmium, or mercury poisoning?
- Eating the wrong diet can contribute to conditions such as constipation, diverticulosis and even heart disease?
- Taking too much of any one vitamin or mineral can be harmful?
- Too much vitamin C can actually make an infection worse, in certain metabolic types?
- Hair analysis is the most efficient means of determining exactly what vitamins and minerals you do need?
- Adolescent acne can be caused by lead or copper poisoning, as well as a zinc deficiency?
- Approximately 80% of our population lack the necessary enzymes and natural stomach acids to digest their food?
- Hyperactive children often have too much lead in their systems?
- Obesity is frequently caused by chronic blood sugar problems?
- Mercury toxicity in the mother's system can kill her unborn child?
- Magnesium supplements may prevent brain damage of alcoholics?
- The male prostate gland contains more zinc than any other organ in the body? Because of this, adequate zinc levels are important for male potency.
- Diuretics often prescribed for patients with high blood pressure and heart trouble, can decrease your potassium supply?
- High blood pressure and strokes may be caused by too much sodium chloride (salt)?
- Many baby foods contain too much salt?
- High levels of copper and iron in the body tissue can cause migraine headaches, and even schizophrenia?
- Adequate zinc intake helps to regulate blood sugar levels?
- Lead toxicity is linked to multiple sclerosis?
- Zinc deficiency can retard bone development and produce malformed sex organs?
- Doctors often diagnose heart attacks by the amount of the mineral manganese in the body?
- Chromium, magnesium, manganese, and vitamin B6 deficiency are related to diabetes?
- Vitamin C, the B Complex, zinc, and manganese are being used to treat schizophrenia?
- Vitamin B2, folic acid, vitamin E, zinc, and chromium are important for users of birth control pills?
- Magnesium deficiency is related to epilepsy, leukemia, heart disease, and kidney disorders?
- As many as 250,000 women in the U.S. at any given rime may be suffering from iron deficiency anemia?
- Beryllium, lead, cadmium, nickel and arsenic poisoning can cause cancer?
- The mineral lithium is being used to alleviate many of the problems associated with manic-depressive illness?
Poisons, like Mercury, will have no chance to harm you when your endocrine system is functioning correctly. Show me a person who is depressed, who has a properly functioning system and I’ll give you $l00. It is impossible.
“Health, sex, and vitality all flow from the fountain of energy, found within the body that is functioning properly. These are all synonymous with a high energy level. People with sufficient energy abound with good health, charisma, excitement and sexual vibrations.
Individuals who are severely lacking in energy are just the opposite. These people are depressed, have no self-esteem, have inhibited personalities, live in fear, and generally have little ability to express great passion.
Heaven is having a mate with a high energy level and a beautiful soul. This is the perfect combination. Unfortunately in today’s world many of the individuals who have enough energy do not have the inner beauty or strength of character to go with it.” Dr. Paul Eck.
